BWNS owns a sawmill and planing facility on New Zealand's south island.

Otautau Sawmill: BWNZ's entered into a custom cutting agreement with Waikana Timber of Otautau in 1996. Two years later BWNZ purchased the mill outright. A major overhaul and expansion project followed on the heels of the purchase. Literally everything in the mill was updated or replaced except for the main roll cases. Three new U.S.-built dry kilns were added to the operation. Today 100 people staff the sawmill, kilns, and planer.

Milburn Dry Kilns: The Milburn site construction project is on hold. The 40-acre site will eventually house four U.S.-built dry kilns when the first phase of construction is finished.
